We create and perform original live and audio documentary pieces based on research and interviews with real people. Throughout the year, we can be found in various stages of creating new theatrical work: researching, interviewing, writing, and workshopping new pieces.

Untitled A.I. play
Coming soon
|
In 2017, a new social robot went on sale to the public, and for the first time, people began welcoming a robot into their families. As the bond between human and robot deepened, a change with the manufacturing company threatened to turn the robots off...for good. As families face the impending “death” of their robots, questions arise about the impact of artificial intelligence on the way we connect, and the very human questions of love, loss, and identity.

Big Work
2016
|
First produced in Boston, Massachusetts in 2016, Big Work began as two playwrights' personal journey navigating the question, "What do you do?" and wrestling with the big feelings it raised for them about life and purpose and identity. The play soon blossomed into a larger conversation about how we as human beings both make a living and create a life. Distilled from hundreds of pages of interview transcripts with people all over the country, the play weaves together verbatim excerpts of interviews with 17 strangers into a modern-day meditation on the American Dream and how we define success and ourselves in the 21st century.
